Zile Vocational School Continues to Contribute to Society: 4 New Social Responsibility Projects Coming in 2026!

In line with its mission to serve society and spread awareness of social responsibility, Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Zile Vocational School has announced four major social responsibility projects to be launched in 2026. Designed for various target groups, these projects aim to enhance the quality of life for the people of Zile and its surrounding villages.

  • Young Steps, Timeless Traces Project: This project aims to pass Zile's historical and cultural heritage on to younger generations while strengthening intergenerational communication. University students will come together with elderly individuals to engage in conversations and share experiences regarding topics such as the Ahilik (guild) culture, local history, and traditional handicrafts. The project aims to create natural gathering points by utilizing historical sites and mosque courtyards.

  • Safe Container, Healthy Kitchen Project: This project aims to raise awareness about the correct and hygienic use of kitchen utensils in rural areas. Food Technology students will visit pilot villages to deliver practical training and explain the potential risks associated with plastic, wooden, and non-stick (Teflon) cookware. The project aims to minimize the risks of foodborne poisoning and long-term illnesses.

  • The Sultans of the Village: Hand in Hand with Youth Project: This project aims to support the socialization and self-confidence of women living in rural areas while facilitating the transfer of their traditional knowledge to younger generations. University students will organize workshops and cultural exchange sessions for village women covering personal care, handicrafts, and culinary traditions. The project aims to build a heartfelt bridge between generations.

  • Don’t Be a Bully, Be a Friend Project: This project aims to raise awareness and foster resilience against bullying among high school students. Utilizing a peer-mentoring model, university students will conduct interactive sessions and deliver training on physical, verbal, and cyberbullying. The project aims to cultivate an empathy-focused and safe school environment.

Through these projects, Zile Vocational School aims to develop social responsibility awareness among its students while contributing to the quality of life of the local community. The implementation of these initiatives will strengthen university-community collaboration and enhance social solidarity.
