Information Regarding the Distance Education System
In our Vocational School, common compulsory courses taken by first-year students—specifically Turkish Language and Principles of Atatürk and History of Turkish Revolution—are conducted via the distance education system. Students can follow their courses online 24/7 from anywhere (dormitory, home, campus, etc.).
Newly registered students who will access the system for the first time must first create their institutional email address (@gop.edu.tr) and password via mailal.gop.edu.tr (Please avoid using your name, surname, or Turkish characters when creating a password).
@gop.edu.tr
mailal.gop.edu.tr
Once the email address is created, students can log in using two different methods:
Institutional Email / e-Devlet Login: Via giris.gop.edu.tr by selecting the "e-Devlet Login" option. (Logging in via e-Devlet is not possible without first creating an institutional email account.)
giris.gop.edu.tr
Username and Password Login: Enter the section of your email address preceding @gop.edu.tr as your username (e.g., name.surname for name.surname@gop.edu.tr) and use the password created during email setup.
name.surname
name.surname@gop.edu.tr
Course Delivery and Examinations
Course contents are uploaded weekly to the E-Course platform and stored in the E-Course archive, allowing students to rewatch recorded lectures anytime. During specified online live lecture weeks indicated in the academic calendar, course instructors conduct review sessions and sample problem-solving activities. Students can also communicate directly with instructors via the discussion forums on the system.
Examinations for distance education courses are conducted face-to-face in designated classrooms within our Vocational School during the exam weeks specified in the academic calendar.
