Purpose:
The Department of Food Processing at TOGU Zile Vocational College is to respond to the needs in the country's food industry areas and public institutions.Also, it is to illuminate the role of food in the health of society through education, research, outreach and service. Moreover, the aim of the department is to improve students' ss and knowledge's in food processing technology in Turkey.
Vision:
The Department of Food Processing will be nationally recognized for excellence in the following areas: associate degree programs, research in food, community nutrition, food science (Dairy, Meat, etc.,) food processing and development,food service management and food safety.
Mission:
Our mission is to expand and transfer knowledge for continuous improvement of the safety, quality, value, and security of the country's food supply through basic research.
Program Description:
Programs in Food Processing Department are Dairy Technology, Meat Technology,Food Technology and Food Quality Control. These programs prepare students to become food technicians who can apply the principles of microbiology, processing, safety, quality control and chemistry to food processes.
