About the Program

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Food Technology Program was established to train qualified intermediate personnel needed by the food sector, offering students theoretical and practical education in the fields of food production, processing, preservation, quality control, and food safety.

Within the scope of the program, students gain knowledge in fundamental areas such as food chemistry, food microbiology, food processing technologies, quality management systems, hygiene, and sanitation, while also transforming this knowledge into practice through laboratory applications.

A practice-oriented approach is adopted throughout the educational process, where laboratory work, project applications, and industry partnerships aimed at developing students' professional skills play a central role. Educational activities conducted in this direction contribute to students' rapid adaptation to professional life after graduation.

Through the 3+1 education model implemented in the program, students have the opportunity to experience a real working environment by spending one full semester directly in industry enterprises. In this way, theoretical knowledge is seamlessly integrated with practical application, enhancing students' professional competencies.

The Food Technology Program maintains its activities through an educational approach based on food safety and quality standards, embracing an innovative and sustainable understanding of production, establishing strong industry partnerships, and aiming for continuous development.
